How to Change or Update the Zeffy Fee Donation
We’ve recently switched from Square to Zeffy — a 100% free fundraising platform that ensures every dollar you spend supports T. Clay Wood PTO! □
Zeffy runs completely free for nonprofits by asking donors to optionally cover a small fee that helps keep the platform free. You can easily change or remove that optional fee — either while checking out or afterward.
□ Option 1: Update or Remove the Zeffy Fee While Making a Purchase
- On the payment page, find the section labeled “Add a contribution to support Zeffy.”
- Click the drop-down menu or edit icon next to the suggested contribution amount.
- Select:
- “Other” to enter a smaller or custom amount, or
- “0” if you do not wish to add a contribution.
- Continue checkout — your payment to T. Clay Wood PTO stays the same.
□ Tip: Zeffy adds a small contribution by default, so check this section before completing payment to make sure it’s set how you prefer.
✉️ Option 2: Change or Remove the Zeffy Fee After a Purchase
- Open your confirmation email from Zeffy (subject usually “Thank you for your donation” or “Your purchase confirmation”).
- Click the link that says “Manage my donation” or “View my receipt.”
- On your Zeffy transaction page, find the Zeffy contribution section.
- Click “Edit” or “Change amount.”
- Adjust or remove the contribution, then Save your changes.
⚠️ Note: Changing the Zeffy contribution does not affect your original payment or donation to T. Clay Wood PTO.
